5 Fandom Friday! – Things I’ve Bought But Haven’t Read/Watched/Played Yet

fandom.5.friday

Ah I can’t believe I am on my third Fandom Friday!

Anyway this week, it is about things I have bought and haven’t really gotten to yet. I mainly have books that I haven’t read because I get into phases where I have no idea what I want to read next, so my to be read pile grows a bit. (oops)

Here’s my pile this Friday, four books and one video game. Let’s get to it!!!

1. Call of Duty – Advanced Warfare

I am so DEEP into Dragon Age Inquisition, that when I have the time to play, I am playing DA. I do plan to play this soon though. πŸ™‚

2. Harry Potter – Und der Stein der WeisenΒ

Now, as you can judge by my Header here on Metal and the Geek, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, but I have yet to read it in German. A goal I have, that I hope to accomplish this year. It is a story I know and it is one that I love.

3. Doctor Who – 11 Doctors 11 stories

I have this for a while, and I actually bought it because well LOOK AT SOME OF THE WRITERS!! and also…DOCTOR WHO. But I haven’t gotten to it yet. I will! I swear! Stop looking at me like that, I feel judged.

4. WinterKill – by Kate A. Boorman

Bought this when visiting NJ for xmas, and I was walking through Barnes and Noble, and this sounded interesting to me. When I got back home to Germany, I realized I already had it on my GoodReads list, further proving my to be read pile or list is ridiculous.

5. The Green Arrow – Showcase Vol.1

I have become more and more curious about all kinds of comic book heroes. I bought this because I wanted to see some of the beginnings of The Green Arrow. I have glanced through it, but I have not sat down and read it completely. AGAIN..I will. (haha see a theme here)

This one was fun!! πŸ™‚ Looking forward to reading everyone else’s. CHEERS!!

  1. Reading Harry Potter in German, are you learning the language? I was taking lessons (had to stop due to scheduling) and we all thought the best way to learn it was watch a film you know really well with the German dub or read a well loved book in German. Its such a great idea if that’s what you’re doing πŸ™‚

    1. Well I live in Germany now so even though speaking it is a little rough still i understand a lot. So I thought of reading Harry Potter and just writing down words I don’t know and then translating them as I go so I can learn new stuff. I can’t do the over dubbed movies though lol it drives me insane. I can watch German movies with english subtitles but I can’t to do the German over dubs. So books it is for me haha
